germanxxx Dear friends of the Verdi Quartet:
Our photo gallery from which photos can be downloaded as JPEG at 300 dpi has already been used in abundance, and we invite you warmly to continue to do this!
After the festival is before the next – our fifth Festival Vielsaitig
finished over a month ago. The meetings of sound and language were
many-faceted and extremely exciting: concerts, radio plays, readings and
lectures brought out a large and interested audience. We were very happy
with the master class for soloists and chamber musicians: as each year, the
curiosity and work ethic of the students was overwhelming. This year the
level was again especially high, evident, too, in the success of the final
concert of the course participants. In the coming year, 2008,Vielsaitig
will take place from

with the motto “Summit.” Information about things past and future is, as
always, available at Our workshop this year at the University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim will take place from December 7 -10/2007 (for registration, see the item below, or contact info@verdi-quartett.com ) – students from other institutions are most welcome. We have accepted a sponsorship for the Heinrich Schütz-Conservatory Dresden – a task which makes us very happy and is an honour for us. The next phase of concerts and courses takes place in 2008 from October 21 - 27. A warm invitation is already now extended to soloists and chamber music ensembles. Information and registration forms can be found at www.hskd.de Still another locality for a festival with master course appears to be Ascoli Piceno in Italy. This is to be a course specifically for soloists, and to serve primarily as preparation for competitions and auditions. During this year’s Concerto Festival “Settembre in Musica” we began negotiations, and will keep you up-to-date about this.
